2023 Polar PlungeCPS CST Josalyn Hilts warming up for 2023 Polar PlungeWhether you are an individual, organization or business, the Polar Plunge welcomes all do-gooders with a little courage and a warm heart willing to get cold and creative for a worthy cause. All funds raised will support programming and events for over 26,000 athletes across the province.

Cobourg Police Service (CPS) and Port Hope Police Service (PHPS) partner with Community Living Respite Care Northumberland to participate in the 2023 Polar Plunge, joining police services, communities, and individuals across Ontario to support Special Olympics.

The team 'plunge' takes place on March 23. The community is invited to attend to cheer on the participants as they take on the icy waters of Lake Ontario, raising awareness and money to support over 26,000 Special Olympics athletes across Ontario!

On March 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., the Cobourg Police Service, Port Hope Police Service, Community Living Staff, and local Special Olympic athletes will take the plunge. Members of the Cobourg Fire Department and the Port Hope Fire Department have been invited to take the plunge, to make the return to in-person polar plunge even more memorable. The plunge will take place at the Cobourg Marina.
