Location: The Ganaraska River in Port Hope.

Ganny 2015Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River to commemorate the 1980 flood that crippled Port Hope's downtown area.  Photo at right from 2015.  Video from 2018 here.

Cash Prizes and Trophies will be awarded to Crazy Craft, Canoes and Kayaks across a number of categories, including Best Costume and Fastest Time.

See web site for registration details. There are modest charges to participate but there is no charge to be a spectator - just come to Port Hope and find a spot along the river north of the Barrett Street Bridge.

Centred around the finish area at Barrett Street Bridge and Cavan Street, the event village will offer entertainment and activities, as well as the chance to watch the participants float over the last rapids section of the course. Live commentary will be provided, as well as some additional entertainment on the water.

Spectators and visitors will be able to enjoy food and drinks from one of the many vendors along the banks, or make the short walk into the town for shopping or bars.
